Maverick - cleaning up heel seeking

Maverick is a fantastic ambully rescue that is pursuing IPO (German police dog sport). His first step is a BH (an obedience and temperament test). 

Hes been working on finding heel and as you can see the emotion is there but the technique is sloppy. I’m using a line to help calm and cue - relax and move carefully with the line pressure.  This line pressure skill is something we taught in our foundation work, as well as the ability to find heel without a cue or line.  

He’ll be with me for a week, this is our first session.
